  Segment 2

Then we go in-depth with

Dr. Alex Zerbini

Whale Researcher

    National Marine Mammal Laboratory

The Right Whale is one of the most endangered species on earth. Recent sightings in the Bering Sea of mothers and their calves raises a particularly difficult challenge to its survival as oil and gas leases have recently been approved for their wintering areas. Dr. Zerbini is assisting with a recently launched 4-year study to learn more about this most threatened species.
